Press release: Outcomes of the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea to the Kingdom of Cambodia
On 12 November 2025, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MFAIC) issued a press release summarizing the outcomes of the visit by H.E. Cho Hyun, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea (ROK), to Cambodia from 9 to 10 November 2025.
During the visit, H.E. Cho Hyun held meetings with Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, and Deputy Prime Minister SAR Sokha. Discussions focused on strengthening the Strategic Partnership and deepening cooperation in the economy, trade, investment, and defense, as well as establishing Special Economic Zones (SEZs) for Korean enterprises. A key outcome was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a Cambodia-Korea Joint Task Force between the respective national police agencies. The Cambodian Foreign Minister also briefed his ROK counterpart on the implementation of the Kuala Lumpur Joint Declaration with Thailand.
